What an incredible experience attending our first AGHA Melbourne Gift Fair with FunJobs Homewares.
We were absolutely thrilled to receive the Best Medium Stand Award on 10 August 2026. As a small Australian business exhibiting at the Melbourne Gift Fair for the first time, receiving this recognition was a wonderful surprise and made the whole experience even more special.

I would particularly like to thank the entire AGHA team for their support, encouragement and assistance before and throughout the Fair.
Exhibiting at a major trade show takes an enormous amount of preparation, especially when you are a small business. Having friendly and helpful people around you makes such a difference. From answering questions and helping with the setup to providing assistance throughout the event, the AGHA staff were always approachable and supportive.
I also loved meeting so many retailers, buyers, fellow exhibitors and people from across the gift and homewares industry. Thank you to everyone who visited the FunJobs stand, tried on our garden gloves, asked questions and took the time to learn more about our range.
Taking the leap from corporate life to Small Business
For me personally, attending the Melbourne Gift Fair represented something much bigger.
After spending many years working in corporate marketing roles, making the decision to step away from corporate life and put my energy into growing FunJobs Homewares has been a huge leap ..and a big risk.
Running your own small business is very different. You wear every hat, make every decision and invest an enormous amount of time, energy and yourself into trying to make your vision work.
There are certainly moments when you wonder whether you have made the right decision.
That is why receiving the Best Medium Stand Award at my very first Melbourne Gift Fair meant so much to me. It wasn’t simply an award for the stand; it felt like encouragement to keep going and reassurance that FunJobs is heading in the right direction.

Events like the AGHA Melbourne Gift Fair give small businesses such an important opportunity to meet retailers, showcase new products, build relationships and get our brands in front of people we may otherwise never have the opportunity to meet.
I am incredibly grateful to the AGHA team for creating that opportunity and for the support they gave me throughout my first Fair.
Winning Best Medium Stand was the icing on the cake and something I am very proud of.
